Initially I thought the fox was not going to show up and had been sitting waiting the westerly setting sun "cooking" my back and the midges and other blood sucking insects treating me like a fast food joint.
A movement to my right caught my attention and there was the fox making it's way across the open ground returning to the den, with it's own evening meal.
Momentarily he stopped to look over to me and that was my opportunity to press the shutter - before he moved on into the undergrowth and the safety of the den.
