Stags will often spray themselves with a mixture of urine and semen. Stags will wallow in areas they have trodden (releasing scent from the glands between their hooves) and urinated in, all this adds to their scent and as an indicator to other stags of their size and fitness.
Stags will thrash their antlers through the undergrowth, adorning their antlers with vegetation and making themselves look bigger.
