The Mountain Hare transitions from white in the winter months through to brown in the summer.

To multi-coloured as the seasons change
Ending up in the summer months as greyish or brown colour
Another mountain species that also undergoes the same colour change
in the winter months is the Ptarmigan - more of that later....
