This year in Cheshire and something I have not seen before there are multiple fields full of sunflowers, almost French meadow like and brighten up the Autumn fields with big yellow heads now turning brown and looking golden in the sunshine.
The Nuthatches and other birds have cleared the top quarter of this sunflower and in this photograph the Nuthatch is about to depart the flower head and cache the seed.
