Ok so a bird on a stick photo - but it is an Osprey - so I can live with that. This juvenile now past the stage of just flexing wing muscles is venturing away from the nest and from it's two siblings. Not a great distance from the nest and more on a downward trajectory the old dead pine was the last chance to land on something solid before an untimely dip in the loch. The pine tree in itself with the right light would be worthy of a photography. After some very ungainly wing balancing and flapping about combined with extreme wobbles the bird settles down and for a few moments gains a degree of balance. But what to do next.....
