A dark day in the forest and a Red Squirrel has come down from the tops of the trees to forage on the forest floor.
This particular bit of woodland a "stones throw" from the hustle and bustle of Inverness was home to Red Squirrels, Pine Marten, Goshawk, Jays and Badger along with numerous small birds, including on the edge of the forest occasional visits from Crested Tits
Although the Goshawk, Badger and Pine Marten were never captured on the Canon or Nikon gear they were caught on a regular basis on the camera traps.
