Snow time

The forecast did promise some snow we perhaps saw slightly more than we expected.
The main problem would be getting off the hills - but that was for later the immediate problem was the dull light - the forecast which promised sunny spells and snow - changed to snow - whilst the snow does make the landscape brighter the low clouds and heavy snow obscured many of the subjects.
We rolled along the single track roads stopping every so often to search out areas where both Red and Black Grouse can be seen.
Once the engine was off literally the only sound to be heard was that of the heather heavily laden with fresh snow "swishing" in the wind.
