Making it to the cover image for June and July is another Great Crested Grebe image, I was going to go with one of the Osprey shots but having put the time in with them, and followed the progress of the family since the nest was first constructed, I just thought it was the most appropriate image. The unsettled weather in June brought strong winds which created waves which created really difficult conditions for the two chicks who now out in open water.
An adult bird brings a fish in the juvenile is desperate to get to the fish ahead of its sibling and it battles through the waves to reach the adult and fish.
